ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Isabel has consolidated her kingdom. They were tumultuous, exciting years full of key moments for history, but they were also years that have damaged the relationship between Isabel, increasingly more devoted to that all-powerful God that guides her in her life and kingdom, and Ferdinand, always an ally but also a rival. The discovery of America in 1492 turns Castile into a great world power. With the annexation of Granada, the Reconquest has also ended and along with Columbus's adventure, it seems that a goal has been reached. Nevertheless, Isabel and Ferdinand perceive the fragility of all they have accomplished. The monarchs face a series of personal misfortunes that they will have to overcome as rulers and as parents, without ever losing sight of their primary objective: unifying the crowns of Castile and Aragon onto the head of a legitimate heir.
