It is assumed to afford a vehicle by which the Author may apologise for or explain what he had really meant to say by and in his Book, in case the casual reader fail to discover the same. Therefore let me be frank in claiming the precious privilege of the Preface: This tale primarily is told in hope that it may pleasantly entertain.
