These 12 wallcharts contain information on a group of topics related to a central theme. These topics have been chosen after consideration of a number of secondary chemistry syllabuses. They are designed to be used as a teaching aid if used individually as the focus of classroom discussion on different areas of the chemistry syllabus. Together, the wallcharts provide a logical pathway through the chemistry syllabus, dealing with themes that are progressively more demanding. Teachers may decide to adopt this pathway as the basis of their teaching scheme or they may prefer to use this resource to complement a scheme of their own design. The chapters of the guide accompany the wallcharts. Each chapter provides an overall view of the wallchart with detailed background information on the topics covered. At the end of each topic, where appropriate, worked examples are given which may be used as exemplar material for pupils. At the end of each chapter, suggestions are made for further related activities.
