- Better known by his pen name Lewis CARROLL, his real name, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, the writer was born in 1832 and decided in 1898. He is British. His work focuses on children's literature, fantasy literature, mathematical logic, poetry, linear algebra and voting theory. Among his famous writings is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and his sequel Through the Looking-Glass, which includes the poem "Jabberwocky" and the poem The Hunting of the Snark. Given his friendship with several girls, especially with one of them named Alice Liddell. This one inspired Alice in Wonderland. He wrote it to immortalize this friendship. The famous work was published in 1865. It is a universal and fundamental success in children's literature. One day, while her sister reads a book to her, she sees a white rabbit running very fast looking at his watch, it gives the impression that he was late. He is dressed like to go to a party. Intrigued, Alice follows him and enters his burrow. Without realizing it, she finds herself falling into a bottomless pit. Finally, it simply lands in a magical country, a wonderland. She tries to follow the rabbit that disappears. On several occasions, she changes size thanks to a potion. She begins to cry and misses drowning in a pool of her own tears. Before disappearing mysteriously, an animal reveals to him that this country is populated by lunatics. Stunned by this strange experience, she leaves her guests and finally enters a beautiful garden. This pleasant place belongs to the King and the Queen of Hearts, they terrorize the entire court consisting of playing cards. A Griffon led him to a very sad animal who begins to tell his story. In turn, the girl recounts her adventures, but she is interrupted by a clamor announcing the beginning of a trial. Faced with this charade, Alice rebels. That's when she wakes up to finally realize that it was only a dream. She tells this adventure to her sister who lets herself be dragged away, with her eyes closed, into the marvelous universe.
