Sky stories grew from her desire to talk to an imaginary child about as many values and aspects of life as possible in a book. The Duck and the Carrot - In a courtyard lived a duck and a carrot. Nothing else lived there; is there any possible friendship between them? Olivia Orange was born of Tartar parents in Kazakhstan and was educated at a conservatoire school for gifted children where she specialised in piano. She worked there for film studios and TV as a scriptwriter. Currently she is living in England, married to an Englishman, and works as a piano teacher.
