The classic tale, The Three Little Pigs, was told in different ways in order to make it more forgiving and gentle story. In this beloved tale, the three pigs find out whose house really is the strongest when they each stand up to the big, bad wolf. In this telling the first pig made his house out of straw. The second pig made his house out of stick and the third pig made his house out of bricks. A wolf came to the first pig and asked the little pig to let him in, the pig said no so the wolf blew down his house. Then the first pig ran to the second pig's house. Again the wolf went to the house of stick and asked the little pigs to let him in. The second pig said no so the wolf blew down his house. The first and second pigs ran to the third pig's house. The wolf tried to blow his house down but could not, so he tried to get to the roof and through the chimney. The wolf fell in the pigs' pot, burnt his body and he ran away into the woods. This story has a gentle ending which is appropriate for early aged children.
