Trees form a sheltered freeway,
A green and growing treeway, Koala Cavalcade,
Where Bushland creatures traffic
Down their own parade.

Animals have homes, they have communities and common forage areas where they find their food. They need trees and undergrowth - it's their backyard! So when the big trucks and bulldozers come to make way for a new housing development, who is going plead for the animals' homes to be saved?

5 STAR REVIEW: Wildlife Corridor by J.R. Poulter/Tomomi Sarafov is an entertaining story.
The author handles a relevant topic effectively. The illustrations are wonderful and they breathe life into the scenes, making the story come alive for readers. It is an excellent storybook for interactive sessions in classrooms and school libraries as it speaks about saving the environment and wildlife, and tells children how to do it. Parents can also [use it to] discuss with their children the importance of trees. The rhyming verses give the book pace, movement and a lyrical feel. It is a good idea to introduce children to books like this at a very young age. The illustration at the end shows how a tree home [is] beneficial.
